| Lesson 5: Numbers |
| In this lesson, you are going to learn about Japanese numbers. Let's start with one through ten. 1to10 11 to 19 The numbers from 11 to 19 are formed by putting the appropriate number after ten. 20 to 90 The numbers from twenty to ninety are very similar to one through ten. For example, twenty in Japanese is ni-juu. Ni is two, and juu is ten. So "twenty" is really just "two-tens." ni-juu san-juu yon-juu (Do NOT say shi-juu. This is an exeption to the rule.) go-juu roku-juu nana-juu hachi-juu kyu-juu (Do NOT say ku-juu. This is another exeption.) Larger numbers hyaku sen man juu-man hyaku-man sen-man oku |
